Arshad Nadeem broke the Olympic Record in Men’s Javelin throw with a massive 92.97m in the final of at Paris Olympics 2024 on Friday, the 27-year-old javelin thrower is Pakistan’s first individual gold medallist, ending the 32-year wait for a gold Olympic medal, in Pakistan.
The athlete revealed the reason behind his win when he said he was “in the rhythm” and “hopeful” to win the gold medal with how far he had launched the javelin.
Meanwhile, Indian javelin thrower, Neeraj Chopra comes second, and is also celebrated and cherished like Arshad, especially by his mother who said, “For us, silver is also equal to gold. The one who got the gold is like our son too.”
