In some areas of Dubai Mall parking, the maximum tariff can reach up to Dh1,000 for 24-hour parking. However, some parking areas will remain free, and there are some people who are totally exempt from paying parking fees.
Parking fees will be applied at Fashion, Grand, and Cinema parking zones starting July 1, 2024. Zabeel and Fountain View parking remain free for now and are not subjected to any fees.
People of determination are exempt from Dubai Mall parking fees but must apply for the exemption through Salik channels beforehand. Police, ambulances, and civil defence are also exempt from parking fees at the Dubai Mall. Currently, senior citizens and residents are not eligible for exemption from parking fees.
Parking fees are based on the number of hours consumed in the parking as per the business rules after the end of the free hours (4 hours during the weekdays and 6 during weekends from Friday to Sunday). To use Dubai Mall parking facilities, you need to have an activated Salik tag and Salik account. If you need to purchase a Salik tag, you can do so on the official Salik website, salik.ae, or at most UAE petrol stations.
The introduction of the paid parking system aims to free up spaces, ensuring guests can find parking more quickly and easily. Ibrahim Sultan Al Haddad, CEO and board member of Salik Company, said, “The latest announcement represents a significant milestone as we collaborate closely with Emaar Malls to provide customers of this renowned destination with this first-of-its-kind parking management technology.
