The Jebel Ali Beach Development Project, approved by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, is set to transform Dubai’s coastline as part of the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan. Spanning 6.6 kilometres, this initiative aims to expand the length of public beaches, increasing the total length of beaches by 400%. enhancing Dubai’s status as a premier beach destination.

Visitors will enjoy modern facilities for swimming, diving, and relaxing. Features include scenic walkways, children’s play zones, and a mangrove ecosystem. Advanced amenities such as ‘night-swimmable’ beaches, extensive cycling tracks, and state-of-the-art safety measures reflect Dubai’s commitment to accessibility and sustainability, ensuring day and night activities.

The recently revealed plans include details on Jebel Ali Beach’s turtle rehabilitation programmes, allowing visitors to enjoy watching turtles in their natural habitat. The beach will be divided into zones like The Pearl, The Sanctuary, and The Nest, each offering unique experiences, from family-friendly activities to educational programs about local ecosystems.

Sheikh Hamdan emphasized the project’s vision, stating, “We are committed to developing the infrastructure and services needed to offer diverse urban experiences for citizens, residents and visitors. Our focus is on creating spaces rich in beaches, open areas, and recreational greens. The ultimate goal is to enhance the wellbeing of the city’s people, create a healthy environment for all, and make Dubai the world’s best place to live in.”

This project, alongside developments at Al Mamzar and Jumeirah 1 Beaches underway, marks a significant step in elevating Dubai’s journey to becoming a leading global beach destination.
