Indian shooting sensation Manu Bhaker achieved a historic milestone at the 2024 Paris Olympics by securing the bronze medal in the 10m air pistol event, making her the first Indian woman to attain this remarkable accomplishment.
As an Indian Olympian, Bhaker excelled at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, winning two bronze medals. She first opened India’s account in Paris by securing a bronze in the women’s 10m air pistol event, making her the first Indian woman shooter to win an Olympic medal. Subsequently, she partnered with Sarabjot Singh in the 10m air pistol mixed event to win another bronze, becoming the first Indian woman to win two medals at a single Olympics and the first Indian to achieve this in 124 years.
In a viral video posted by The Better India, Bhaker displays her musical talent by effortlessly playing the national anthem on a violin at the MP Shooting Academy in Bhopal. The gifted athlete received the instrument as a gift from her brother.
