The IIFA Utsavam celebrates the artistic and technical achievements of the South Indian film industry. Organized by Wizcraft International, the team behind the IIFA Awards, this ceremony honors Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada cinema. The event includes a press conference and IIFA Weekend with the stars.
IIFA Utsavam will be held on Friday, 6th September, and Saturday, 7th September, 2024, at Etihad Arena. The first day will focus on Tamil and Malayalam language awards and performances, while the second day will highlight Telugu and Kannada. Over the two days, there will be a total of 12 performances.
Mohanlal, a prominent Indian actor in the Malayalam film industry, is set to attend the IIFA Utsavam on September 6, 2024.
Mohanlal is also a film producer, playback singer, film distributor, and director, with appearances in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, and Kannada films. His prolific career spans over four decades and includes more than 400 films. Initially known for his antagonistic roles, some of his notable non-Malayalam films are the Tamil political drama Iruvar (1997), the Hindi crime drama Company (2002), and the Telugu film Janatha Garage (2016).
Mohanlal has received five National Film Awards—two for Best Actor, a Special Jury Mention, a Special Jury Award for acting, and one for Best Feature Film (as producer). He has also won nine Kerala State Film Awards, Filmfare Awards South, and numerous other accolades.
