His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence has introduced the AED 105 M scheme to assist residents and citizens in managing the challenges of modern city life.

The Mental Wealth Framework is a crucial component of the Dubai Social Agenda 33, launched to make Dubai “the world’s best destination for living, working, and visiting,” according to the Dubai Government Media Office.

Key initiatives of the project include early detection programs for mental health issues, enhanced mental health education in schools, and improved access to mental health care.

His Excellency Awadh Seghayer Al Ketbi, Director General of Dubai Health Authority, emphasized that mental wealth is crucial for community health and welfare. He said, “Mental wealth is an integral part of the health and welfare of the community and one of the most important strategic objectives of major cities around the world, especially given the rapid pace of daily life.”

The Mental Wealth Framework includes strategic goals such as developing a comprehensive model of care that encompasses all aspects of mental wealth services, including early detection, intervention, enhancement, and prevention. It targets all segments of society with initiatives for early detection of factors affecting mental and emotional states. The framework also aims to provide high-quality care, support, and counselling services to enhance psychological and community stability.

Furthermore, the framework focuses on the educational environment, empowering school staff and parents to develop students’ psychological capacities and in increasing satisfaction and happiness among community members.
