The UAE’s Ministry of Education announced the National Framework for the Classification of Higher Education Institutions for students looking for the perfect higher education institute in the UAE.

The framework and assessment were done for two major categories of higher education institutions licensed with the Ministry of Education:

1. Universities that offer postgraduate studies alongside bachelor studies.
2. Universities that offer bachelor’s or diploma programmes only.

The framework is based on four pillars of assessment, with each category having a set weightage:

1- Quality of teaching and student life – 35%
2- Research and innovation – 35%
3- Recruitment and alignment with the labour market – 20%
4- International collaboration – 10%

Each university’s ranking based on the criteria is shared on the official Ministry of Education website, which students can access to make more informed decisions about their education
