The UAE athletes will make their Paralympic Games debut on 30th August at the Paris 2024 Games, which was preceded by the Torch Relay that happened from 25th to 28th August after travelling through 50 cities, starting from Stoke Mandeville, the historic birthplace of Paralympic sport in England.
The UAE delegation consists of 13 male and female athletes who will compete in shooting, athletics, weightlifting, cycling, and judo. They are:

- Saif Al Nuaimi (Shooting)
- Obaid Al Dahmani (Shooting)
- Ayesha Al Muhairi (Shooting)
- Ayesha Al Shamsi (Shooting)
- Mohammed Othman (Wheelchair racing)
- Mohamed Al Hammadi (Wheelchair racing)
- Ahmed Al Badwawi (Cycling)
- Mohammed Al Kaabi (Shot Put)
- Thekra Al Kaabi (Shot Put)
- Maryam Al Zeyoudi (Shot Put)
- Noura Al Ketbi (Shot Put)
- Maryam Al Dhanhani (Judo)
Ahmed Belhoul Al Falasi, the UAE Minister of Sport, highlighted the determination of the People of Determination to raise the UAE flag at major international events as a source of pride and an example for all athletes. His remarks came during a visit to the UAE delegation’s residence for the upcoming Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.
The minister praised the readiness of the national teams, stating, “The resolve of the People of Determination to raise the UAE flag high at the world’s largest events has always been our source of pride. We are confident that their participation in the Paris Paralympic Games will mark a new chapter of excellence in the UAE’s sports journey.”
Al Falasi emphasised the ongoing support for People of Determination athletes, aiming to ensure their success on the international stage, thus elevating UAE sports. During his visit, the minister toured the Olympic Village in Paris, confirming that all necessary comfort measures for the UAE delegation are in place. He also visited the International Paralympic Committee’s Athletes’ Council voting booth, where UAE shooter Saif Al Nuaimi is nominated for membership.
