Dubai Police have supercharged their fleet with a high-performance electric patrol car, the Zeekr 001, designed to aid efforts to boost traffic management and improve incident response times, whilst also being ecofriendly.
This sleek addition packs an impressive 544 horsepower that rockets from 0 to 100 kph in 3.8 seconds. With a powerful 100-kilowatt-hour battery, the Zeekr 001 boasts a range of up to 600 km on a single charge, making it fast and efficient, which aligns with part of the UAE’s ambition towards clean energy.
Brigadier Juma bin Suwaidan, acting director of the Dubai traffic police, said the introduction of the cutting-edge patrol vehicles would support a major push to harness advanced technology to enhance “both traffic management and security operations”.
“These patrols will significantly improve the quality of police and traffic services in Dubai, offering the highest service levels to the public,” he added.
