Dubai is taking futuristic dining to a whole new level with the launch of Aiman, the city’s first AI-powered chef. Developed by UAE-based startup UMAI, Aiman will be at the heart of WOOHOO, a tech-forward restaurant opening this summer at Kempinski The Boulevard, near the Burj Khalifa.
Aiman isn’t a robot in a chef’s hat—he’s a fully digital culinary assistant designed to collaborate with human chefs, not replace them. His tasks include suggesting creative ingredient pairings, generating new recipes, improving dishes based on real-time feedback, and streamlining kitchen workflows. The project is supported by hospitality company Gastronaut.
WOOHOO’s menu will feature a bold fusion of Japanese, Mexican, and Peruvian cuisines—a flavorful challenge even for seasoned chefs. The restaurant combines culinary innovation with a futuristic atmosphere, featuring ambient lighting, digital art, sleek design, and panoramic views of Downtown Dubai.
More than just a novelty, Aiman’s role is grounded in safety and transparency. Every dish he helps create is carefully logged, tested, and refined to meet high-quality standards. The goal is to build trust with diners while showcasing how technology can elevate the dining experience.
Reservations for WOOHOO are already open, drawing interest from curious food lovers and tech enthusiasts alike. Whether you’re a fan of bold flavors or innovative experiences, this is a chance to taste what’s next in the world of food.
