In 1970, the late Sheikh Zayed proposed Abu Dhabi’s participation in Osaka Expo’70 with a pavilion inspired by Al Jahili Fort in Al Ain. After 55 years, the UAE is back for Osaka Expo 2025. The UAE Pavilion, inspired by the date palm tree, combines traditional Emirati materials with Japanese expertise in wooden building techniques.
