The Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Fresh on Table to establish centres for collecting, storing, and distributing fruits, vegetables, fish, poultry, dairy products, honey, and other animal products. These centres will adhere to strict health and safety standards, including sterilization and packaging processes, ensuring high-quality and safe products.
The MoU was signed by Abdullah Al Humaidan, Secretary-General of the Zayed Higher Organization, and Atul Chopra, Founder and CEO of Fresh on Table, at a ceremony attended by senior officials from both entities. The primary objective of this partnership is to provide employment opportunities for People of Determination, thereby enhancing their professional skills and job security.
Under the agreement, the Zayed Higher Organization will supply the land and buildings for the centres and assist Fresh on Table in securing the necessary permits and approvals. Additionally, the organization will recommend candidates for employment at the centres.
Fresh on Table will be responsible for the design, construction, and equipping of the facilities, as well as the training and employment of People of Determination. The company will manage daily operations, including storage, sterilization, distribution, and facility maintenance, while also monitoring performance.
Al Humaidan praised the partnership, emphasizing its role in supporting local agriculture and promoting sustainability by reducing the carbon footprint through local production and consumption. He highlighted that this initiative not only markets the organization’s organic produce but also offers stable employment to People of Determination, equipping them with essential skills for the job market.
Chopra echoed this sentiment, stating, “We are proud to strengthen our partnership with the Zayed Higher Organization through this significant agreement. This collaboration highlights our deep commitment to sustainability as a means to inspire meaningful and impactful change for People of Determination in our Emirati community.”
