General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with the UAE police support team following their specialized training for the Paris 2024 Olympics. The team will collaborate with international counterparts to ensure security at the prestigious event. French officials have a comprehensive security plan in place.

The UAE police support team is composed of members from the Ministry of Interior and various General Police Headquarters, representing all specialized police sectors. The French authorities’ comprehensive security plan involves police, military personnel, and civilian staff across Olympic venues and key locations, with heightened security at tourist landmarks and sensitive sites.

Responding to an invitation from France, the UAE police support team has undergone rigorous field exercises and language training in preparation for the global event. This training includes handling various security scenarios, implementing security plans, providing first aid, and French language lessons to enhance communication with the public.

Announced by the authority on X, this initiative highlights the UAE’s commitment to international cooperation in ensuring the safety and smooth operation of major sporting events. Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan emphasized the mission’s significance, stating: “You will head to friendly France next week and be part of the police system. We want you to integrate into it and serve them as you serve in the UAE.” He added, “There will be citizens from all over the world and Emirati citizens there, and we will serve them equally.”
