The 2024 Emirates Dubai Sail Grand Prix, presented by P&O Marinas, will kick off from Mina Rashid on 23rd – 24th November at 2 PM, promising an afternoon of thrilling high-speed water racing. As a highlight of the Middle East’s sporting calendar, this event marks the first time all 11 national teams will compete, aiming for a strong start to the season.

Among the competing teams, Brazil’s debut will be led by double Olympic gold medallist Martine Grael, making history as the first female Sail Grand Prix driver. Grael expressed her excitement, stating, “I’ve seen many mixed teams where certain roles seem more suited to women, and now we’ll see how a female driver performs. This will be the test.”

The Sail Grand Prix will also host a four-week training camp around the season opener, giving local fans plenty of chances to see the teams in action before and after the main event. This extended training period is a first for the competition, designed to help new teams acclimate to the high-intensity nature of Sail Grand Prix racing.

The Sail Grand Prix CEO Russell Coutts highlighted the significance of the event, saying, “We’re thrilled to begin our new season in Dubai, a first for the Sail Grand Prix and the Middle East. With Mina Rashid’s perfect, smooth water conditions, it’s an ideal setting for close-to-shore racing and particularly beneficial for our new teams starting their Sail Grand Prix journey.”

The tickets for the Sail Grand Prix are currently on sale, starting from AED 123.97. Don’t miss out on the ultimate racing experience, with two new teams, fierce rivalries reignited and epic Race Stadium entertainment.
