The Ministry of Economy has reported a significant 23% increase in the number of commercial licenses held by Emirati women, reaching 135,171 as of August 26.
Minister Al Marri emphasized the crucial role of Emirati women in the country’s economic landscape, praising their achievements and acknowledging their contributions across various sectors.
This increase reflects the capabilities, competencies, and skills of Emirati women in driving economic growth and development. Additionally, the UAE stands at the 7th global position and leads regionally in the Gender Equality Index, as per the report released by the United Nations Development Programme, highlighting the progress and commitment to gender equality and empowerment.
