Travelers flying with Etihad Airways might encounter an exciting surprise the next time they depart from Abu Dhabi. Etihad has just introduced the world’s first Warner Bros-branded aircraft, created in partnership with Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi.
The Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner is adorned with characters from Looney Tunes and Tom and Jerry on one side and DC superheroes on the other. The aircraft model was unveiled at an event at the Yas Island attraction, featuring characters like Bugs Bunny and Batman.
The aircraft is set for its maiden voyage today, 27th July, to London Heathrow. It will then serve other destinations, including Dublin, Amsterdam, Vienna, Bangkok, and Manila, allowing more passengers to experience the unique themed journey.
Etihad will also introduce new Warner Bros-themed gift packs featuring DC superheroes. Infants on board will receive a baby blanket decorated with Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman, while older children can look forward to a backpack containing a superhero cape, water bottle, and activity kit. These gift packs will be available on all Etihad flights throughout the summer.
Additionally, young travellers can get a taste of Warner Bros excitement before they fly at the newly opened lounge at Zayed International Airport. This dedicated children’s space is filled with immersive activities designed to preview the fun at Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi.
Mohamed Abdalla Al Zaabi, group chief executive of Miral, which operates the park, stated, “This collaboration not only enhances the customer experience but also brings the thrill of Warner Bros World beyond our park’s walls, creating a memorable vacation for passengers of all ages.”
