Fines for UAE Visa and Emirates ID of Up to Dh20,000 for 14 Different Violations

According to the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP), there are 14 violations related to Emirates ID card services and UAE visa services. Depending on the type of violation, fines range from Dh20 per day up to Dh20,000.

Here are the 14 violations and their respective fines:

1. Submission of transactions that do not belong to the facility in which the person works—Dh500 fine.

2. Entering transactions via the e-Dirham (Fawry) that do not belong to the facility in which the person works—Dh500 fine.

3. Expiration of the company representative’s card—Dh500 fine.

4. Not carrying a card when the representative is submitting transactions—Dh500 fine.

5. Violating the work system in service provision centres—Dh500 fine.

6. Not adhering to the pledge made to the sector—Dh500 fine.

7. Misuse of the system—Dh5,000 fine.

8. Obstructing the work of the employees of the sector responsible for completing the transaction—Dh5,000 fine.

9. Failure to cooperate with ICP employees—Dh5,000 fine.

10. Failure of system users to fulfill the financial compensation resulting from providing the service—Dh5,000 fine.

11. Inaccuracy in printing applications from system users—Dh100 fine.

12. Providing incorrect data from service recipients—Dh3,000 fine.

13. Issuing visas or entry permits to an establishment that does not engage in any activity—Dh20,000 fine.

14. Delay in registering and issuing an ID card, and delay in renewing the ID card after 30 days from its expiration date—late fines of Dh20 per day, up to a maximum of Dh1,000.

Additionally, if you lose your Emirates ID card, suspect it has been stolen, or it has been damaged, you must promptly request a replacement from the ICP and pay a fee of Dh300 for a lost or damaged ID, plus application fees of Dh70 through typing centres or Dh40 through the eForm on the ICA website. You can also get an express ID replacement service at ICA main’s Customer Happiness Centre for an extra Dh150.

These fees apply to all UAE nationals, GCC nationals, and expatriate residents.
