All newly registered children in Sharjah nurseries will be guaranteed seats, announced His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. To accommodate this, new nurseries will be built, and existing capacities expanded.
Sheikh Dr. Sultan revealed that 446 additional seats will be provided in July and August. “Registration in government nurseries in Sharjah has closed with 1,781 applicants, but only 1,335 seats are currently available,” he said. The additional seats will be created by building new nurseries over the next two months. Registration in government nurseries in Sharjah closed at 1,781 applicants, while only 1,335 seats are currently available.
The Ruler stressed that nurseries are equally important for safety and education, stating, “The child in Sharjah nurseries learns from the beginning of his enrolment a very sophisticated curriculum, which we did not create alone; rather, partners from Europe work with us.”
He added: “These nurseries are critical in creating the groundwork for children from an early age. We care about our children and do not want them to grow up at home without obtaining an education, especially if their parents are working. Therefore, we are building more nurseries and guaranteeing seats to all parents who have enrolled their children in Sharjah nurseries.”
Sheikh Dr. Sultan reassured parents: “Do not be afraid, your child will get a seat.”
This initiative reflects Sharjah’s commitment to providing quality early childhood education and ensuring all children have access to a safe and enriching nursery environment.
