Meet Nathalie Grall-Sorensen, who tragically experienced her 17-year-old son’s demise in 2022.

Amidst her grief over the years, Nathalie takes pride in her decision, stating, “For me, the loss is irreversible. My son is gone, but when you are asked ‘Do you want to save lives?’ — can you say no?”

Viggo Sorensen, a Grade 12 student at GEMS Wellington Academy in Dubai, was a rising star in the UAE’s golfing community, featured in sports publications as the next big thing. However, after experiencing numbness in his arms a year ago, he was suddenly declared brain dead. Despite his untimely and tragic demise, Viggo saved lives of five other patients through organ donation, providing a heart, two lungs, and two kidneys.

“Viggo saved lives in India and the UAE, with three organs going to Saudi Arabia. His heart was received by a 27-year-old Saudi woman,” said Grall-Sorensen.
