Established in the UAE earlier this year, Marushika specializes in blending the traditional artistic elements with modern, haute couture pieces, believing in the concept of wearable art. Founded by Manisha Verma, an accomplished textile designer with a master’s degree in Apparel Production and Merchandising Management, Marushika draws inspiration from the art style Madhubani which is a style of painting originating from the Madhubani district of Bihar, India.
Each collection from Marushika is a harmonious blend of traditional artistry and modern elegance infused with cultural significance and storytelling, incorporating main motifs of Lotus, Fish and Gopi, the devotees of Lord Krishna. Each piece is a canvas that conveys a story while also celebrating heritage and timeless beauty of women while offering a modern interpretation of age-old artistry.
Yesterday, 31st July, the Align Media team visited and hosted a soiree at this exquisite showroom. The scenic walls and aesthetic clothing are far more magical in real life and is a must visit. One of the walls was painted by Manisha herself, along with two others, finishing the wall in three weeks. Women of different nationalities attended the event, marvelling over the clothing pieces, with some promising to revisit the boutique.
To catch a glimpse of this mystical boutique, you can check our Instagram for the reel, but the best way to witness the beauty is by visiting the showroom. Here are a few images from the event:
