Ghanim Mubarak Al Hajeri, Director-General of the General Authority of Sports, UAE, expressed confidence in Dubai’s ability to host this prestigious event in the Phygital sports calendar. He underscored Dubai’s status as a pivotal hub for sports and technology, stating, “It is only natural for Dubai to host the Games of the Future 2025, leveraging its excellence and contributing to the advancement of the Phygital movement.”
The Games of the Future 2025 is anticipated to be a showcase of Phygital sporting excellence, with teams worldwide currently competing in qualifiers through the World Phygital Community (WPC) and its ongoing Phygital Games 2024/25 season. Dubai’s recent launch of the Dubai Programme for Gaming 2033 further underscores its commitment to nurturing the global Phygital community.
Nis Hatt, CEO of Phygital International, praised Dubai as the perfect host, recognizing its leadership in technology and sports innovation. He expects the Games to draw thousands of athletes and esports competitors from over 100 countries, highlighting its global appeal.
