The UAE Football Association announced on Saturday that Emirati international assistant referee Amal Jamal has been selected by the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) to officiate at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup. The competitions will be held in the Dominican Republic from 16th October –3rd November 2024.
Amal is also the first Emirati woman to officiate at a professional men’s football game, for the final day of UAE U-21 2021 Championship, better known as the U-21 Arabian Gulf League. She was part of the refereeing team for the clash between Al Ahly and Al Nasr.
