H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, has approved a series of new policies and initiatives aimed at enhancing healthcare, education, family welfare, and sustainable urban development. These efforts align with the Dubai Social Agenda 33 and the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, focusing on improving residents’ quality of life.

The healthcare strategy, led by the Dubai Health Authority, includes plans for three new hospitals and 33 primary healthcare centres by 2033, targeting newly developed areas and supported through public-private partnerships. It also seeks to improve mental health services, insurance coverage, and attract medical talent.

In education, a new policy by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) aims to ensure all Emirati students in private schools attend institutions rated ‘Good’ or higher, with parental satisfaction exceeding 90%. The plan includes expanding support programmes, flexible learning options, and increasing Emirati educators.

The Unified Centre for Family Care will offer integrated support services in Deira and Bur Dubai, emphasizing family stability and social cohesion.

Additionally, Dubai’s Smart Buildings Policy will promote sustainable development, targeting reductions in energy and water use, and boosting smart infrastructure adoption. Though voluntary for now, the initiative is set to attract investment and support Dubai’s environmental goals.
