Just over two weeks after formally opening its doors to the public, the UAE Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka marked a significant milestone on Sunday—250,000th visitor welcomed.

“This milestone highlights the pavilion’s role as a space for meaningful dialogue, exploration, and collaboration,” said Shihab Al Faheem, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the UAE to Japan and Commissioner General of the UAE Pavilion. “We are proud to share the UAE’s story with the people of Japan and the global community as we collectively strive for a thriving future for all life—from Earth to Ether.”

Focused on the theme “Earth to Ether,” the pavilion provides guests with a holistic experience of the UAE’s path from its rich cultural legacy to its forward-looking successes in space exploration, healthcare, and sustainable innovation.

Inspired architecturally by the famous date palm in the United Arab Emirates, the pavilion reinterprets classic Areesh construction via a forest of 90 soaring rachis columns. These represent a mix of Emirati history and Japanese workmanship since they are made utilizing sustainable ways and sophisticated Japanese woodworking skills.

Inside, guests begin a gripping story steeped in humanity, resiliency, and innovative advancement that mirrors the change of the UAE. Along the route, visitors will hear stories of pioneers impacting the country’s future in crucial disciplines such as sustainability, medicine, and space.

The experience finishes with “Woven Legacies,” a captivating documentary installation that realistically depicts current life in the UAE, providing an intimate and immersive view into the country’s evolving identity.
